Slower Walk Cycle

ignore the arms, there's a bit of a weighting issue and I need to sort them out better, but this walk is slower and has the twist in the torso :)

Mongolian Walk Test

quick walk cycle, will try and run and slowing this down tomorrow :)

Mongolian Problems

UPDATE:
When I used the body twist attribute the rest of the body moves but the torso that it influences just stays in the same position. It should be able to still move with the body but twist using the smaller controller.

Ok I've sorted it, but if anyone else has the same problem it is the blend parent attribute needs to be set to 1.

Just a few weighting issues I think, mainly on the clothing and the hands

Oh and when I use the attributes for the hand it comes apart like they dont have the same influence... don't know why

MONGOL

TESTING RIG AND UV TEXTURE MAPS.

Added Bump maps.

Ready For proper texturing,

ATM: Sorting out blendshapes, adding eye control and few weighting problems.

Composer?

A friend of mine from Rave, Josh Kendell, has asked if we need a composer for our final film...

His portfolio is http://www.joshkendell.com/

he could make us some good original music for Snatched :)

More Marmot Tests

And going across the landscape:

Marmot Poses

Arm Problems

I am having a few problems with the right arm of the Marmot, it does not move the same way as the left arm, and also it does not rotate properly when I want the hand to rotate forward. Ive put up the movements on the arms so you can see the difference.

Environment concepts

Marmot Run Tests

I have had a few problems with the Marmot, so hopefully it will look better when these are fixed. The file I had from Tara and the one from Sam did not match in terms of scale, so I guessed a rough scale for the test, although this will need to be sorted by Monday.

First run cycle:

Again I hate the arms and I am waiting for the weights to be fixed on them so they work properly.

Run across Environment Test:

Tara you are going to hate me :/

UPDATE THREE:

Just a couple of bits on the Marmot geometry that do not look right...

UPDATE TWO:

None of the controllers work on his tail, and also I think the right arm controls need looking at, they do not move the same way as the left I think this may be due to how it was mirrored or something.

UPDATE:

There are also problems with the legs, we can barely move them without it doing something like this, plus the extra attributes like Toe etc do not seem to work properly and deform the geometry really badly

There are a couple of problems with the arms...

When I select the outer control and rotate it the mesh on the body also deforms badly:

And when I tried the inside one and rotated it, the wrist goes like this:

Weekend Sketches

Just a few pics from the weekend, sorry there isn't more I have been at work most of it :/

I thought the Marmot could either do some funky dancing where he is like moonwalking and spinning etc, or could do a waltz with the piece of chicken and spin it round. I will start testing both animations tomorrow to see which look funnier...

Textured Paper

I bought some textured paper on the way home yesterday, and took a few pics of a couple of sheets. David I think your camera would be far better than mine or I can try scanning them in. Just thought it would be good to use our own textures and these could be starting points for you to work into.
