Inital sketches:
Marmot: initially too realistic so I tried giving him eyes like Crash Bandicoot and then Sonic the Hedgehog. I cannot seem to get his body right though.
Mongolian huts where Mongol will live:
Facial design for Mongol, again I am trying to make my designs more cartoony as they always end up realistic, which is why the eyes are simplified but also small to contrast to the Marmot's big eyes.
